Official 2012 Honda CR-V Game Day Commercial - “Matthew’s Day Off” Extended Version (by Honda)
A preview of the Honda Ferris Bueller’s Day Off parody ad starring Matthew Broderick. This is a pretty awesome and faithful nod to the film, but it’s a bit sad to see it co-opted to sell soccer mom vehicles. I suppose even Mr. Bueller had to grow up at least a little some day. Like he said, life moves pretty fast.
I did laugh my butt off at that bit with the Chinese festival, though.
I imagine this is going to make a lot of tumblrers(? tumblrites? tumblrerians?) feel rather old.

It goes on for sooooo long. Worth it to see that karate dog and karate bird. Also, those geishas kind of steal the show.
I kind of like that in the 80s anyone could rap about anything and no one would bat an eyelash. I’m pretty sure I learned about recycling from rapping dinosaurs.

Thusly creating a time paradox in which I probably wouldn’t exist or something. Darn.
- Fun fact: I actually was one of the kids that was lucky enough to get a Hot Wheels car for one of my birthdays.
- Funner fact if you know me at all: It was a hot pink Malibu Barbie Corvette complete with fake plastic car-phone.
