Boy that’s pretty.
Here’s Bon Iver covering a Bonnie Raitt classic.
Bon Iver - I Can’t Make You Love Me/Nick of Time (by aub101182)
I Can’t Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt Cover) - Adele
Two artists that I love love love have now covered this song. Surprisingly enough, I think I actually prefer the Bon Iver version. I just can’t deny that sweet falsetto.
Hey Ya (Outkast Cover) - Obadiah Parker
One of my favorite covers. Just so pretty and unexpected. I remember first hearing this arrangement covered by The Blanks/The Worthless Peons on the episode of Scrubs where the Janitor gets married to his girlfriend, Lady. Their version is also quite lovely if only just to hear their bass occasionally pop in with a deep “ice cold”.
I love this song and the movie that it’s from. It’s probably a good quarter of why I love the movie really. Well, that and it’s fucking hilarious. The only thing missing from this version is the trumpet solo at the end.
This is quite adorable (though, I do find it hard to look at Ben Schwartz without thinking of his ridiculous Jean-Ralphio character from Parks and Rec).
One More Try - Iron and Wine (originally George Michael)
Swiped from The Onion AV Club’s Undercover series, hence the extra intro and applause at the end. Sam Beam pours his dulcet tones over a George Michael classic. Marketa Irglova from A Swell Season (/the movie Once) is also in there assisting with the backups.
They Might Be Giants covering Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
It’s like two things from the 90s coming together to create a kitschy baby.
Okay, okay. TMBG started out in the 80s but I didn’t know who they were until that one Tiny Toon Adventures episode came out when I was a kid so I’m going to count them as a 90s band.
Pretty much everything that the song “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros touches is gold. It’s probably the love song of the hipster generation. Add to that the magic of a father and daughter singing together and it’s a recipe for awww-inducing sweetness.
I’m holding back from spamming you all with my favorite Hall and Oates tracks and covers (yes, I’m that lame) and instead holding it to this one. The Bird and the Bee have a whole album devoted to Hall & Oates covers. Actually oddly enough, the only Bird and Bee song that I’ve heard is a cover (“How Deep Is Your Love?” by the Beegees).
Hall and Oates were sure a fan of their protracted metaphors. Some example topics; big game cats (Maneater), espionage (Private Eyes), and this song’s metaphor of choice, basketball.
Here’s a selection from the song’s lyrics:
I’m tired of playing on the team
It seems I don’t get time out anymore
What a change if we set the pace face to face
No one even trying to score.
*slowclap* magnificent.
Wonderwall remixed by Inspired Flight
originally by OasisRevolving around Ryan Adams’ cover of the classic Oasis song, “Wonderwall,” this new remix produced by Inspired Flight incorporates multiple Radiohead songs and music from Bob Marley, Postal Service, Morcheeba, Simian, and Blur. This tribute to some of Inspired Flight’s favorite artists is achingly beautiful, emotionally intense, and manipulates the songs used to create a very original piece of music.

There are a million things on here, but thankfully they’re all gorgeous.
Kina Grannis - Pumped Up Kicks (feat. Imaginary Friend).
I know I’m late shh but just fuck I love her.
Proving that anything can be improved by the addition of a pretty girl and a banjo.
