I was inspired by that previous photo of a cross-eyed cat to share this. This guy’s name is Scruffy. They named him before they found out he was cross-eyed and had tiny, awkwardly-set ears. It’s oddly fitting especially considering that his two brothers have more proper names (Forrest and Maxwell) and aren’t as silly looking (well, other than Forrest being perhaps the fattest cat I’ve ever met and Maxie having an oddly short tail).
That white blob on his nose is a bit of whipped cream that I bopped him with. I snapped this photo in between his attempts to reach it with his tongue.

Allison’s totally well thought out plan for solar eclipse enjoyment:
- Go outside at the peak of the eclipse
- Stare at the sun
- Burn retinas because a sliver of the sun is still the sun
- Feel shame
- Grab bag of sunglasses
- Put on as many as you can at one time until the eclipse is actually bearably visible
- Finally enjoy the eclipse for about five minutes before you get bored of looking at a glowing crescent shape.

Happy My Birthday, Everyone!
Today is my birthday and on top of being a blatant excuse to perhaps garner birthday messages from my tumblr pals, it’s also an excuse to queue up some of my favorite things.
Though, I’m realizing that that’s kind of what my blog is anyway.
